    Passenger Ship
    (ships with license to carry passenger)    		 Year-round Joint inspection of coast guard in accordance with marine transportation safety plan prepared for special transportation and national holidays such as Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok
    Hazardous Material Carrying Ship
    (ships registered to carry hazardous materials)    		 Year-round Inspection in accordance with safety plan of vulnerable ships engaged in domestic routes
    15 Years or Older Cargo Ships
    (ships registered to carry cargo)    		 Year-round Inspection in accordance with safety plan of vulnerable ships engaged in domestic routes
    Other Ships Subject to Inspection by Separate Inspection Plan Routine Generation of inspection plan after a marine accident or other reasons
    ※ Minimization of interruption of ship navigation and civil complaints of duplicated inspection by coordinating
    with the inspection according to the Seasonal Master Plan for Marine Safety

      • Follow-up checking of ship condition and maintenance after the inspection
      • Checking of suitability of standard of hull, engine and safety equipment
      • Checking of requirement of minimum number of crew members and safety navigation procedure
    • Inspection Method and Follow-up to Faulty Ships
      • Cooperation of ship inspection officials and inspectors at ship inspection agencies for on-board inspection
        and follow-up measures to faulty ships
      • Order to rectify the deficiencies and confirmation of rectification
      • Checking of rectification by the ship inspection agency if needed and request to report the result
      • Confirmation of completed rectification of major defects before departure and domestic navigating ships subject to safety
